I really enjoyed this book. Not quite as much as th first book, but then the first book was exceptional!Kirstin is the twin sisterof Brenna (the heroine of the first book) she has taken vows to be a nun and locked her heart away. Years ago she left the abbey seeking her missing cousin Finn an found the love of her life, Gregor.
They spent six months together and then Gregor foolishly pushed her away. Heartbroken, Kirstin returns to the abbey and devotes herself to being a bride of Christ. Gregor almost immediately regrets his harsh words, but when he goes ti beg her forgiveness he finds she as left without a trace.
By chance they meet again almost nine years later. Gregor is overjoyed to have finally found her but she is not happy with this turn of events. Seeing him again brings back all the pain and regrets she has spent the last years trying to move on from.
These two really have to work hard for their HEA. There are many obstacles in their path including a psycho warrior monk who abducts Kirstin.
Will Gregor be able to save her before the lunatic kills her? Will Kirstin ever trust him again and be willing to forsake her vows to make a life with him? You will have to read the book to find out!
This book could easily be read as a stand alone title - but you will understand so much more if you have read the previous book and the stolen bride series.

This is five stars as is the "Stolen Bride" series. I am again captivated by Eliza's ability to tell stories. This one in particular held my interest as this adventure takes me from an Abbey explaining why our heroine nun found her true love after so many years. She was able to trust her heart and find it was meant to be her true path in life. I'm eager to read the rest of this series and recommend it to all those who love to read about love and historical highland adventures.
Laird Gregor Buchanan and Lady Kirstin's story....wow, I loved it!!!! He acknowledges that 10 years ago he blew it. He had known she was the one, but his youth made him not value what was in front of him. Instead he savored the moment and then one day....puff it was gone!!!
She has submitted herself to the religious order and one day while on an important errand by her aunt who is the head of the Abbey. she and her escorts are surrounded by warriors. To her surprise, the mN who broke her is there.
These two have some what of a journey to go through and hurdles to overcome. The story was so good, that I wanted to finish it.
Book 2- This is the second time I've read this and as in most books I come away with a completely different view and pick up things I didn't get before. Of course life has marched on for me as well, so it makes it more interesting. Gregor and Kay is truly a book where the term " second time around" is a good example. The first time they met, they were younger, this time they both had lived a life but their love never getting lost. After finding Kay again, then having too rescue her from a man who has no morals...well read the book and find out what happens. Oh did I forget to tell you Kristin is a nun???
Seduced by the Laird is a tale of second chances. Not many people get second chances at the love of their life, but Kirstin and Gregor do. Kirstin is a nun in an Abbey on the Island of Skye. She has been them since her escape from her family’s castle during at takeover at the age of 11, except for one time. She escaped to find her cousin Finn and in that adventure she found Gregor. Gregor and Kirstin spend a sizzling six month of passion and young love only to have heartbreak. Gregor and Kirstin were both young, and Gregor in an alcohol-fueled rant pushed Kirstin out. She returned to the Abbey on the Isle of Skye to live out her days as a nun. Tasked with going to the Melrose Abbey with extreme trepidation, Kirstin, crosses paths with Gregor again. Gregor is sent to Melrose Abbey to meet with Robert the Bruce. Needless to say, Gregor and Kirstin are surprised to see each other again and try to deny the passion and love they still have for each other. It is a tug of war of emotions for Kirstin while Gregor will do anything to get her back.
The Conquered Bride series has many of the same characters from the Stolen Bride series, but you do not have to read the Stolen Bride series.
I had a couple problems with this story, not enough to lower to average. First our H states how he had loved the h for 10 years and made her leave and said cruel things to her. Our h leaves with a secret she holds onto for 10 years. Then when they finally meet again (10 Years later), he wants to know why she left him? HELLO - you were cruel with words and actions. That bothered me and even though he spends a long time trying to find her, the damage was done.
Second point, the H/h marry within a week at the end of the story, wouldn't happen. She is a nun and would take forever to be able to forsake her vows.
We are never told what was in the letter her Aunt wrote either. But, it is an interesting story, some suspense, a nasty villain, no cheating, no cliffhanger for our H/h, we do get HEA, and some lovemaking outside of marriage, rated 3.5-4 out of 5. Not going into the premise, as many have explained it better than I. Just what you may discover reading it. (ljb)
Book 2 in the Conquered Bride Series. The Lady in this story is Brenna's twin sister. Gregor is the hero. After Brenna begged their cousin Finn to take Kirsten and leave to save her from the warriors who attacked their home and killed their parents. Brenna was kidnapped and forced to marry at the age of 12.
Finn takes Kirsten into a small boat to cross the loc and brings her to an Abby for sanctuary. The story picks up again after she and her sister are reunited at age 27. The Mother at the Abby sends Kirsten to another Abby to deliver a response to the Mother Superior. The Bruce has taken sanctuary at this Abby and all his army is there also.
Kirsten has not always been a good Sister. She had searched for Finn after he left her and it has been several years since Finn left her at the Abby. She met Gregor during her search.
